Ladies and gentleman, prepare yourself for the return of the annual Celebration of Light fireworks at English Bay beginning July 26th. The three nights will feature three competing countries:
- USA – Saturday, July 26th, 2014
- France – Wednesday, July 30th, 2014
- Japan – Saturday, August 2nd, 2014
These free events will begin at 10PM sharp on each of the given nights and will last 25 minutes. As mentioned before, this is a very popular event so make sure to arrive early if you’re looking to lock down some nice real estate on the beach.
It is recommended that you bring a picnic blanket, some rainproof clothes (just in case) and a set of head phones so that you can tune into SHORE 104.3 FM from your smartphone to tune into the music that goes along with the fireworks. In addition to the Celebration of Light, the SHORE 104.3 FM will be hosting SHOREfest at Sunset beach and English Bay on the same nights as the fireworks. There will be four bands performing live music each night, including Canada’s own boogie rock band; The Sheepdogs.
