New Summer Menus at the Pan Pacific Vancouver!
Starting this week, the Pan Pacific Vancouver will roll out its new 2011 Summer Menus at the Cafe Pacifica Restaurant and Cascades Lounge.
The man behind this season’s new menu is newly appointed Executive Chef, Bob Wiles. With summer on its way and our new patio set to open, Bob and his Chefs Team chose to add a few choice dishes which emphasize: fresh flavors, seasonal ingredients and delicious taste.
A few days ago the Chefs held a sneak peek sampling of the new menus. This season I promised myself I’d “sample” each item to learn about the flavors for when I talk to guests….but once again, I had to loosen the belt for this one…Take a look at the photos below and you’ll see why!
New Summer Items
Let’s not waste any time…the Tempura Halibut Sliders are simply amazing! This is the new take on burgers without the greasy aftertaste. We only introduced the menu a few days ago and these are already a fan favorite. This is a decision you won’t regret!
Here’s a look at the Vancouver Island Local Dungeness Crab and Avocado Salad – made fresh with exotic fruit gazpacho, frisee lettuce and micro herb salad. It looks good, but tastes better…
Pan Seared Lamb Rib Eye – w/ garden vegetable ratatouille, creamed organic whole grain barley, rosemary infused red wine jus and artichoke chips
The Wild Pacific Salmon – finally a salmon dish that will actually leave you full. Made w/ braised artichoke and summer vegetables in a light saffron broth, ricottta gnocchi, horseradish and beetroot jam. Simply perfect!
Here’s a twist on last season’s Artisan Goat Cheese and Arugula Ravioli. This is the new Home Made Ravioli with Ricotta Cheese, English Peas and Fresh Mint. Light, fresh and filling!
Last but not least, if you want it all try the Pacific Ocean Seafood Platter. You can make your own or try all four.
These are just a few of the items being featured in our Summer menus at the Cafe Pacifica Restaurant and Cascades Lounge. Many of last season’s fan faves are still available including our Soya Marin Sable Fish and the New York Steak Sandwich.
