The Honda Celebration of Light is an annual 2 week Fireworks festival and competition that draws upwards of 400,000 spectators alongside beautiful English Bay Vancouver each evening.
This year’s event will see three new countries competing over three nights:
- July 28th – Vietnam will compete in its first international competition outside its home country
- August 1 – Brazil
- August 4 – Italy
There are several locations to watch around the city which are considered Prime Viewing Areas: English Bay, Kits Point, Vanier Park, and various locations around the West End, Sunset Beach and Stanley Park.
If your looking for a lively family-friendly atmosphere away from the Downtown rush, I’d recommend John Lawson Park in West Vancouver. If you want to be right in the thick of the action, then there’s no better place than English Bay.
Enjoy the fireworks and be sure to check back on the blog for the best photos from the Festival!
