Crafted at Coal Harbour Bar: The Smokeshow, Inspired by Stanley Park
Each night, at exactly 9:00 pm, a 12 pounder muzzle-loaded naval cannon located on the Stanley Park seawall just southwest of Brockton Point lets off a large boom to mark the time.
The gun was originally installed to warn fishermen of the close of the nightly fishery, going off each evening at 9:00 pm, and also helped local residents and ships in port to calibrate their clocks.
Inspired by this 115 year-old Vancouver tradition, our Smokeshow cocktail at the Coal Harbour Bar combines Crown Royal, Amaro, Campari, a dash of smoky Lagavulin, Angostura bitters and a hint of maple syrup.
The perfect late night drink, the Smokeshow is best enjoyed with a side of live music and candlelight in our cosy Coal Harbour Bar. Cheers!
