Over 12 Tons of Toys Donated! Recap from the Pan Pacific Vancouver Christmas Wish Breakfast!
Fresh off the scale…the Pan Pacific Christmas Wish Breakfast raised over 12 TONS of toys this morning thanks to over 4,000 generous Vancouverites walking through our doors between 6am-9am.
This morning we called everyone with a generous heart to the Hotel to donate toys to underpiviledged kids in the BC area in exchange for a Hot buffet breakfast. The turnout was inspiring and the number of toys received was literally too many to count!
How do you feed 4,000 people you ask? Well this morning the Chefs Team (on power nap’s sleep) cooked up 12,500 sausages, 1200 lbs of of hashbrowns, 800 kg of eggs and 4200 croissants. In the end, everyone left happy and believe me – nobody left hungry.
On hand to take in the action and help with the toy piling was Global BC, Jack Fm, The Vancouver Police Department, Vancouver Fire Department – as well as ninja bloggers Miss 604, VancityBuzz, Hummingbird604 and Vancouver is Awesome.
If you didn’t get a chance to make it down to the Hotel today, here’s a closer look at the action: (Special thanks to our photographers and friends John Biehler and Jeremy Lim who always do an excellent job of photo capture).

Thanks everyone for participating today and making this year’s event another success. Don’t forget, you can still donate to the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau this holiday season at LMCB.ca
Wow these photos pale in comparison to my phone ones – hope they don’t count towards the facebook contest
