BC Provincial Minster of Labour, Dr. Margaret MacDiarmid Tours the Pan Pacific Vancouver

This week the Pan Pacific Vancouver received a visit from the BC Provincial Minster of Labour – the honorable Dr. Margaret MacDiarmid.

As Labour Day falls next week, the Minister toured the Hotel to provide an example of workplace rights, responsibilities and correct practice.

Margaret has previously served as Minister of Tourism, Trade and Investment and Minister responsible for Intergovernmental Relations, and Minister of Education and Minister Responsible for Early Learning and Literacy.

Her tenured background also comes with real life experience in the health care system. Margaret’s background in the healthcare system includes that of a real life patient – As she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. Since then, she has received treatment and has fully recovered.
