Puppy Love in Downtown Vancouver
When it comes to dog-friendly, the City of Vancouver is a four-legged front-runner, ranked #6 in North America. As for pet-friendly hotels, your furriest family members will feel right at home at Pan Pacific Vancouver. Small dog? Big dog? They’re all welcome here, especially with the introduction of our Paws at Pan Pacific package – complete with a plush doggy bed, gourmet treats, walking maps and lots of pats from our dog-loving hotel team.
Go Off-Leash
While we kindly ask that pets be kept on leash in hotel public areas, they can enjoy off-leash privileges in 36 parks throughout Vancouver during designated times. In fact, when you stay at Pan Pacific Vancouver, you’re a waterfront seawall stroll from two of the best locations where pups can run, play and sniff with a view.
Head west along the seawall, or east through Gastown to these fan-favourite Dogs Off-leash parks:
Devonian Harbour Park
2 km/25 minute walk along the seawall
Nestled between Stanley Park and Coal Harbour, this scenic park has plenty of green space for ball throwing along with benches, art installations and a picturesque pond. A beautiful vantage point for taking in the mountain and water views along with the comings and goings of float planes.
CRAB Park at Portside
1.5 km/20 minute walk through Gastown
Take in historic Gastown on your way to this waterfront recreation area with a dog run, grass lawns, outdoor sculptures and two playgrounds. You can get a close look at Vancouver’s working port from a grassy knoll or the small pier jutting into Burrard Inlet, along with the everyday harbour activity of cruise ships, the heliport, and SeaBuses.
Bath time?
If a good scrub, primp and trim is in order during your stay, you’re minutes away from these local dog services:
Dashing Dawgs – Pet Store and Grooming Salon
561 Cardero Street / 604.568.6096
EZ Dog – Grooming and Daycare
56 Powell Street / 604.559.5606
