4 ways to celebrate Canada Day 2015
Oh Canada! On Tuesday, July 1st the streets of Vancouver will be flooded with red and white on the backs of hundreds of thousands of Canadians who will proudly celebrate the 148th birthday of our beautiful country. There will be no shortage of activities on this glorious day, so we’ve decided to put together a list of four activities you won’t want to miss this Canada Day:
Canada Day at Canada Place
This year’s event will feature a full day of free family fun, highlights of which include live music and performances on three stages, food carts, street hockey, the Canadian Forces Zone and the Vancouver Circus School. The evening will feature a Canada Day Parade presented by Port Metro Vancouver on downtown streets, topped off by the Coast Capital Savings Canada Day Fireworks.

Canada Day Parade presented by Port Metro Vancouver
Join thousands of spectators as they celebrate Canada Day and cheer on the dozens of floats participating in the 7th annual Canada Day Parade. Thousands of spectators are drawn to this event every year, so make sure to find your spot early.
Where: Starting at Georgia & Broughton Street moving ending at West Pender & Burrard
When: July 1st at 7PM
Canada Day at Granville Island
Granville Island is an amazing place to visit any time of the year, but it gets an extra kick of awesomeness on Canada Day. There will be a multitude of things to do for people of all ages including festival food, activities, performance and a Canada Day parade at 4PM.

Coast Capital Savings Canada Day Fireworks
Vancouver’s only two-barge simultaneous pyrotechnic extravaganza. Watch as the sky lights up in celebration of our nation’s birthday! The two fireworks barges are located in Coal Harbour and Dundarave in West Vancouver. Best viewing locations include:
- Hudson’s Bay Fireworks Viewing Zone at Canada Place
- Harbour Green Park
- Coal Harbour
- Stanley Park
- Crab Park
When: Fireworks begin at 10:30PM
